One Day, I'll Have Time: A2 fully hand-carved, block-printed and debossed poster

This project was an attempt to reclaim time as a young creative surrounded by the digital noise of everyday life.

During this project, instead of scrolling, my hands were busy—carving, sketching, mixing pigment, cleaning, and running the printing press. Every step demanded presence and intention.

There’s something incredibly intimate about working with physical materials. Even after the poster was printed, I found it hard to truly capture its essence on screen—especially the subtle debossing.

The poster exists in two versions: one in blue to express a louder, more assertive tone, and another in white to convey a quieter, more intimate form of resilience.

My design work usually ends in the digital, but for this project, that was only the beginning. I got to bring the piece to life with my own hands—meticulously, layer by layer, line by line. There’s something deeply special about being involved in every aspect of your design and seeing it take form in the physical world.

Working with the material taught me more than just technical skills—it made me reflect on my design practice, and also on life itself. My mind kept drifting to things I’ve read, movies I’ve seen, places I’ve been, and people I’ve met. It reminded me that everything is connected. And in that, a quiet reminder: everything is going to be okay.
