The Songs of Trees: A Visual Study of Moore Park Through Asemic Placemaking
Acknowledgement of Country
I acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which this work was created.
I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
Originally, this began as a design proposal filled with statistics and analysis. However, in search of something more fluid, I reimagined it as a visual study—inspired by Situationist ideas and, more importantly, Taoist intuitive practice—to transcribe the stories from one of Moore Park’s oldest locals: the trees. I hope you enjoy the read.
